Contractor Forms & Information

In order to apply for a building permit all contractors must:

• Obtain a state license
• Registered with the Building Department of Mexico Beach
• Obtain a Business Occupational License from the City of Mexico Beach

To register with the City of Mexico Beach Building Department, please fill out the forms below and provide the following:

• Driver’s License
• City Business Occupational License
• General Liability Insurance or Exemption
• Letters of Authorization for Employees to apply for permits (Form provided below)
• Contractor Application MB
• Contractor Letter of Authorization
• Mexico Beach Hold Harmless Agreement MB

• 2 Engineered plans (electronic plans required*)
• Site plan- showing set backs
• 2021 Development Order Application MB
• Application Checklist
• 2021 Building Application MB
• Notice of Commencement MB
• Owner Affidavit MB

Home Owner Forms & Information

Homeowners are permitted to apply for building permits provided that the owner oversees the work and is on-site during construction. Homeowners are required to submit an application similar to contractors.
