Contractor Forms & Information

In order to apply for a building permit, all contractors must:

• Obtain a state license
• Register with the Building Department of Panama City

To register with the City of Panama City Building Department, please provide the following:

• Driver’s License
• General Liability Insurance or Exemption
• Provide a State License (Registered Contractor’s need a Bay County Competency Card)
• Obtain a City of Panama City License
• Letters of Authorization for Employees to apply for permits (Form provided below)
• Contractor Application
• Letter of Authorization

Permit Forms

The following are required to complete the Building Application Packet:

• 2 Engineered plans
• Site plan- showing set backs
• Building Application
• Notice of Commencement
• Temp- Perm Power Affidavit

Home Owner Forms & Information

Homeowners are permitted to apply for building permits, provided that the owner oversees the work and is on-site during construction. Homeowners are required to submit an application similar to contractors.

• Notice of Commencement
• Disclosure Statement
